Survey & Design

The starting point for any new project is a topographical site survey and site analysis. After detailed discussion, I produce a drawing of initial design ideas to bring to you, to discuss in depth.

This leads to a more detailed master plan for a second meeting, with materials, planting themes and an outline budget. With these agreed, detailed layout plans, construction drawings, and planting plans can be produced to work from during the next phase, to realise the design on the ground. All my plans are hand drawn.

Construction

While I am happy to manage and oversee construction of my plans by other contractors, the majority of my designs are undertaken and completed by my small in-house team of experienced landscapers, with specialist sub-contractors where required.

Working on one project at a time, with me overseeing all works and managing the process from start to finish, we ensure consistency, quality and provide a seamless transition from concept to completed garden.

Planting

While the hard landscaping is crucial to a successful project, it is the plants that make it a garden, and this is where we excel. During the construction phase we go to great lengths to protect the soil, then to enrich and prepare it for planting when the building phase is complete.

We work with some of the country’s leading plant suppliers and growers to deliver plants that will bring the garden to life. Colour, texture, structure and form all come together to fill every season and thrive year after year.
